Australian Women of the ARIA Awards from 1987-2015

The countdown is on between now and Wednesday 23 November when the red carpet will be rolled out at The Star, Sydney to celebrate the Australian music industry. This year marks the 30th Annual ARIA Awards, the first of which was held in 1987 with Sir Elton John at the Sheraton Hotel Sydney. Music Love takes a look at the women who took home the Aussie music gongs from 1987 to 2015, as well as the women inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. (Hopefully the list is definitive, and write to us if it's not!)  Music Love will be featuring interviews with many previous winners such as Renee Geyer, Wendy Matthews and more, plus this year's female nominees (we have already profiled Emma Pask and Montaigne) so keep an eye out! For now, take a trip down memory lane.
