PREMIERE: Sarah Belkner and Diamond Duck's divine cover of The Beach Boys' "Lonely Sea" - an ambitious endeavour that more than delivers. Recorded for The Newsagency Sessions, Sydney
During August, Music Love has had the immense privilege of sharing Sydney singer/songwriter Sarah Belkner's wonderful recordings as part of her latest project, the Newsagency Sessions. First up, was a stunning cover of Sir Cliff Richard's hit We Don't Talk Anymore performed by Sydney songstresses Sarah Belkner and Alison Avron. In week two, Sarah was at it again - this time with Merpire singing a stunning cover of Sylvan Esso's "Die Young." Last week, it was a moving rendition of Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun with The Danaides.
And now, the fourth and sadly final installment from this intimate series sees Sarah and Sydney duo Diamond Duck deliver a gorgeous version of The Beach Boy's avant garde masterpiece Lonely Sea. An ambitious endeavour that delivers the goods. Sarah Belkner is clearly making her mark as a respectful, thoughtful and soul-filled artist whose innovative ideas and willingness to embrace other artists with open arms will result in a long-standing career in music. What a woman.

For the last three years artist and producer Sarah Belkner has had a residency at Sydney's The Newsagency where she invites other artists to showcase their talent, and create mesmerising duets. Delightfully, Music Love has exclusively premiered each new track each Thursday! Sadly, this is the last week.
Sarah Belkner is an extremely dedicated music maker. She recently released a gorgeous record called But You Are But It Has (we interviewed her about that here), and while her solo work is nothing short of captivating, one of the unique things about Sarah is her beautiful embrace of other artists. She has played as a session musician for many Australian artists such as Chet Faker, Sarah Blasko and Olympia - all of whom sing her praises. Not only that, for the last three years Sarah has had a residency at Sydney's cosy music venue, The Newsagency where she invites other artists to showcase their talent, and then together they create and release mesmerising duets. In the past, Sarah has offered spots to such talent as All Our Exes' Kate Wighton, MAPLES. Abby Dobson and NGAIIRE.
This year, it has been announced that Sarah is back for her fourth year running, this time alongside Alison Avron, Merpire and Sydney band The Danaides (formerly the ALCOHOTLICKS) and now, Diamond Duck.
