It's been just under twenty years since she was here, but finally Alanis Morissette is coming back to Australia.

Alanis Morissette Music Love

This morning, we bring you good tidings! Alanis Morissette whose music defined a generation is finally coming back to Australia to play two shows in Sydney and Melbourne. What?! Tickets go on sale next week, set an alarm and get in quick. The last time she graced our shores was back in 1999.

Twenty two years after the release of  Jagged Little Pill, this ground breaking album remains one of the best selling records of all time. With songs like Ironic and perhaps the biggest break-up song the world has ever heard You Oughta Know staying in the charts for a very long time, Jagged Little Pill has clocked up 33 million album sales, five Grammy wins (of nine nominations) including Album of The Year.

Since that first album, subsequent offerings with a diverse range of influences, sonic experimentations, and musings followed in its wake. Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie (1998), Under Rug Swept (2002), So-Called Chaos (2004), Flavours Of Entanglement (2008) and  Havoc And Bright Lights (2012) have all resulted in Alanis collectively selling over 60 million albums and landing her seven Grammys.

A tireless advocate, the dedicated artist and mother has committed countless hours to maternal health, human rights, and championing arts in schools in under-privileged areas.

Ever the seeker of truth, Alanis recently launched a podcast exploring themes such as spirituality, psychology, health and relationships.

The woman is just beyond iconic and we cannot wait to re-live the angst of the nineties and hang on her every wavering note.
