Sydney babes, get thee to Newtown for the Women In Music Empowerment Day. Music, markets, panel discussion and more
Sydney, this weekend, get ready for the Women In Music Empowerment Day. An all ladies lineup showcasing the music of artists including SCABZ, ILUKA, Jess Beck, Matka, Ayebatonye, Clueless, Val York, Sass, Dawn Laird, Sarah Connor, Zeadala, Katherine Vavahea, DJ LOU LOU, Piper Day, and Sally Gotlieb.
Not only that, there will be market stalls tempting you with their divine wares featuring Mami Watta Collections, Haus of Dizzy, Karameleon and BadGirl Garden.
Even though you'll be more than content with these sights and sounds, get your brain into gear for an incredible panel discussion featuring a stellar lineup of thought leaders in female artistry and industry including ALPHAMAMA, FlexMami, Poppy Reid (we have a new podcast conversation coming up with Poppy - woohoo. Keep your eyes and ears peeled), Rachel Maria Cox and Kailei Ginman.
And gosh darnit if that wasn't enough for one afternoon, there will be live art by Lotte Smith and Sophieaye and more, more, more.
So girls, get thee to Miss Peaches in Newtown this Sunday 24 September from 2pm with your tickets tucked safely in your back pockets and be inspired.
Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door, with all proceeds raised going to The Girls Refuge, who offer a supportive, home-like environment for young women who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness.
