From March 10-19, some 2,000 acts will descend upon Austin, Texas to showcase their music. This year, 24 Australian women will have their chance to woo and wow industry heavyweights at South by Southwest, a place where the likes of John Mayer, Bon Iver, Feist, Norah Jones, Katy Perry and Hanson made a solid name for themselves, and where last year, a keynote address was given by none other than the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama, and the First Lady, Michelle Obama. The festival is getting bigger every year with performances historically given by Lady Gaga and Willow Smith. Who knows what will happen? For now celebrate Australian women headed to the deep south. Meet triple j presenter Bridget Hustwaite. You will love her

You would be hard pressed to find someone more joyful about music than Bridget Hustwaite. A champion of Australian music and the live music scene, Bridget attends festival after festival, scours the deep trenches of the web for new music, and has a secret Facebook group comprising of a musical sisterhood who share their insights. She's awake between 1am and 6am working in triple j's Melbourne studio and having a rollicking good time. Woodes is the moniker for 24 year-old producer, singer and songwrtier Elle Graham. She grew up in Townsville and made the move from Townsville to Melbourne to pursue a career in music. She produces all her own music, sometimes working with different producers (including Rob Kleiner who has worked with Australian superstar Sia), and her debut EP Woodes is beyond beautiful and beyond her years.
