The first moments of Kylie Minogue's new song will have you checking if you're actually playing the right song. She's gone slightly country.
Kylie Minogue is back with a fresh new sound. Her brand new single Dancing is out today, and it is really quite different. It's a slower pace, it's got some country swag, and it's a fresh new sound. Dancing is the first single from her new album Golden which is out in April, and Kylie says, "You’ve got the lyrical edge, that country feel, mixed with some sampling of the voice and electronic elements, so it does what it says on the label. And I love that it's called Dancing, it's immediately accessible and seemingly so obvious, but there’s depth within the song.”
Kylie has been working hard on Golden and has co-written every song collaborating with an impressive group of incredible songwriters in Nashville including Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran).
This song will undoubtedly leave fans intrigued to hear what's next - perhaps they will be a little unsure of the new direction - but there's a strong likelihood the critics will love it, and Kylie is about to bring a whole bunch of new fans into the mix.
